VietNam Vets M/C Memorial Day Run Weekend May 23rd, 24th, & 25th

Saturday, May 23rd
Muster in the Whaler parking lot, 11:15AM-11:44AM. Run departs 11:45AM.  The run is open to all, & ends at  LZ Easy, (Cache Creek Bar), mile 114.5, Parks Hghy.  1st stop will be the Birchwood Saloon in Burchwood.

There will be an all weekend party at LZ Easy. Everyone is welcome. Tent camping, as well as a few RV spots, & Hotel rooms may be available in the local area.

Sunday, May 24th
We will be leaving LZ Easy at approx 12:30PM & head to mile 134.5, Mary’s McKinley View Lodge.  We will muster between 13:00PM & 13:29PM.  We will depart in formation, “Rolling Thunder”, at approx. 1:30PM & arrive at the State Veterans Memorial at Beyers Lake, mile 147, at approx., 1:50PM. 

The Service will start at approx. 2PM.

Afterwards, come back to LZ Easy (Cache Creek Bar) for FREE food, music & fun!

Monday, May 25th
We will muster at 11th & I, between 9:00AM-9:27AM.  We will depart at approx 9:28AM, in a ,”Rolling Thunder”, formation, arriving at the Anchorage Veterans Memorial at approx 9:30A.

There will be a “Formal Ceremony” at the National Veterans Cemetery on Ft Richardson at 3PM. Come and celebrate memorial day VNV style!

We’ll be doing a run the the MCC facility to celebrate Father’s day, June 21st, 2009. They are offering a BBQ that day for our fathers and families and invited the Dawgs to bring their bikes right up on their patio for residents to view and reminice about their riding days.

We will rally at the Whaler at 10:30am and depart at 11:15am.

The event is from 11:30am to 1pm

Mike requests an RSVP as the MCC need a headcount for the BBQ.

The Dawgs participated in the Rolling Thunder parade at the Gathering/Bike Blessing/Motorcycle Awareness Month event. Our web dawg Two Tone brough his camera and we were able to get a video. It’s long so expect some load time to see it.

Come one and all! The annual Gathering of motorcycles & bike blessing will be Saturday May 2nd on the Anchorage Park Strip (9th & L).

If you’d like to ride with the Dawgs of the North, we will be rallying at Alaska Leather – 3611 Minnesota Drive (the corner of Spenard & Minnesota) – 9:15 and rolling at 9:30.

We look forward to seeing you at the event!

There will be a gathering of Dawgs on Saturday, 4/25 at 11am at the Birch Tree Inn. The gathering will start there for brunch and the group will travel to various locations to give certificates of appreciation to our supporters.
 
Afterwards there will be riding, fun and frolicking.
